Biao Li Shuang Jie Ji

English name:	Minor Middle-Construction Decoction

Component:	Radix Bupleuri(chai hu), Radix Scutellariae(huang qin), Radix Paeoniae Lactiflorae(bai shao), Rhizoma Pinelliae Ternatae(ban xia), Fructus Immaturus Citri Aurantii(zhi shi), Radix et Rhizoma Rhei(da huang), Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens(sheng jiang), Fructus Zizyphi Jujubae(da zao)

Function:	Harmonizes and releases the lesser yang, and drains internal clumping due to heat.

Clinic Usage:	This formula primarily treats the symptoms of concurrent lesser yang and yang brightness-stage disorder. Symptoms include alternating fever and chills, fullness in the chest with hypochondria, continuous vomiting, despondency, slight irritability, hard focal distention or fullness and pain in the epigastrium, no bowel movements or burning diarrhea, a yellow tongue coating, and a wiry, forceful pulse.

Cautions:	At present this formula is often used to treat the mentioned symptoms caused by pancreatitis or gallbladder illness.
