English name: Eight-Treasure Decoction
Component: Radix Rehmanniae Glutinosae Conquitae(shu di huang), Radix Paeoniae Lactiflorae(bai shao), Radix Angelicae Sinensis(dang gui), Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong(chuan xiong), Radix Ginseng(ren shen), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae(bai zhu), Sclerotium Poriae Cocos(fu ling), Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis(gan cao)
Function: Tones and augments the qi and blood.
Clinic Usage: This formula treats concurrent deficiency of the qi and blood. Symptoms include pallid or sallow complexion, light-headedness and/or vertigo, easily fatigued extremities, shortness of breath, brevity of speech, reduced appetite, a pale tongue with insufficient saliva, and a white coating.
Cautions: This formula can be used in almost any case to nourish both the qi and blood.
