Bu Yi Ji
--> dang gui bu xue tang
Pin-yin: dang gui bu xue tang
English name: Tangkuei Decoction to Tone the Blood
Component: Radix Astragali Membranacei(huang qi), Radix Angelicae Sinensis(dang gui)
Function: Tones the qi and generates blood.
Clinic Usage: This formula treats consumptive fatigue and internal injury which causes deficient qi and blood, and "floating yang" appears externally. Symptoms include irritability, thirst, a pronounced and deficient pulse, irregular menstruation, blood deficiency after childbirth, fever, pain, or abscess or ulcerated sores which cannot be healed for an extended period of time.
Cautions: This formula treats the deficiency of blood caused by severe deficiency of qi. A large dosage of Radix Astragali Membranacei (huang qi) is taken in this formula. It should be 5 times more than Radix Angelicae Sinensis (dang gui) in proportion.
