Augments the qi, tones the blood, strengthens the spleen, and nourishes the heart. |

| Clinic Usage: |
This formula treats deficiency of both the spleen and heart caused by excessive compulsive or obsessive behavior. Injured heart and spleen causes deficient qi and blood, and generates symptoms like palpitations, forgetfulness, insomnia, night sweats, reduced appetite, fatigue, and a pale tongue with a thin, white coating. It may also treat bleeding disorders caused by spleen qi deficiency. Symptoms include appearance of blood in the stool. Women may experience early periods with copious, pale blood or prolonged, almost continuous periods with precipitation of flow. |

| Cautions: |
Modern practitioners use this formula in treating disorders such as neurasthenia, congestive heart disease, anemia, functional uterine bleeding, thrombocytopenic or allergic purpura. Results appeared notably effective. |
