| Clinic Usage: |
This formula treats kidney and liver yin deficiency. Symptoms include soreness and weakness in the lower back and knees, light-headedness, vertigo, tinnitus, diminished hearing, or children with an open anterior fontanel. The patient may also present heat symptoms caused by internally generated heat, such as hot palms and soles, wasting and thirsting disorder, night sweats, toothache for the uprising-heat, dry and sore throat, a red tongue with little coating, and a rapid, thin pulse. Modern practitioners often use this formula for treatment of 1) diabetes, 2) nephritis, 3) chronic prostatitis, menopause complications, 4) esophagus epitheliosis, 5) hypertension, tuberculosis, lupus erythematosus. |
