| Clinic Usage: |
This formula treats deficiency of the kidney yang. Symptoms include pain and weakness in the lower back and lower extremities, a cold sensation in the lower half of the body, tenseness in the lower abdomen, urinary difficulty or excessive urination, a submerged and frail pulse, and a pale swollen tongue with a thin, white coating. This formula is also useful in treating leg qi disorder in which leg edema interferes with the ability to walk; thirsting disorder and frequent, copious urination. Modern practitioners often use this formula for treatment of 1) diabetes, 2) chronic nephritis, nephritic edema, chronic urethritis, pollakiuria, male sterility and oligospermatic problem, 3) cataract, 4) edema. |
