| Clinic Usage: |
This formula treats profuse sweating as in heatstroke, which injures qi and yin. Symptoms include fatigue, shortness of breath, dry throat, thirst, and a weak, thin pulse. It may also treat chronic coughing and deficient lungs, which causes deficiency of qi and yin. Symptoms include chronic cough with sparse sputum, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, a dry mouth and tongue, a thinly-coated tongue with insufficient saliva, and a rapid or thin pulse. Modern practitioners often use this formula for treatment of 1) cardiogenic shock due to myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, angina pectoris, 2) infectious shock, 3) arrhythmia. |
