| Pharmacological Effect: |
1) Helps to regulate the smooth muscle of stomach and intestines bi-directionally, 2) improves immunity propensity, 3) promotes metabolism, increases glycogen, 4) prevents swellings and tumors, prevents cell mutation, 5) prevents weakening from aging. |

| Clinic Usage: |
This formula treats deficiency of qi. Symptoms include pallid complexion, fatigue, weakness, reduced appetite, shortness of breath, brevity of speech, a pale tongue with thin or no coating, and a thin, frail pulse. Modern practitioners often use this formula for treatment of 1) chronic dysentery, gastric ulcer, gastritis, 2) chronic hepatitis. |
