| Clinic Usage: |
This formula treats the consumptive conditions with qi and blood deficiency. Symptoms include palpitations, a consistently irregular or thin, faint pulse, forgetfulness, reduced appetite, fatigue, a pale tongue with insufficient production of saliva, and the tongue has a thin, white coating. It may also be used in treating lung atrophy, dry coughing without sputum or coughing of blood-streaked sputum, emaciation, irritability, insomnia, spontaneous sweating or night sweats, dry throat and tongue, constipation and a deficient, rapid pulse. Modern practitioners often use this formula for treatment of 1) arrhythmia, 2) viral myocarditis, 3) coronary artery disease, angina pectoris. |
