English name: The Immortal's Decoction to Nourish the Organs
Component: Radix Ginseng(ren shen), Radix Angelicae Sinensis(dang gui), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae(bai zhu), Semen Myristicae Fragrantis(rou dou kou), Cortex Cinnamomi Cassiae(rou gui), Honey-fried Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis(zhi gan cao), Radix Paeoniae Lactiflorae(bai shao), Radix Aucklandiae Lappae(mu xiang), Fructus Terminaliae Chebulae(he zi)
Clinic Usage: This formula treats symptoms of chronic diarrhea or dysenteric disorders, and diarrhea that is close to incontinence. The diarrhea may contain pus and blood. Accompanying symptoms include abdominal pain that responds favorably to local pressure or warmth, spleen and kidney cold, consistently reduced appetite, fatigue and lethargy.
Cautions: To treat a more severe case of prolapsed rectum, Rhizoma Cimicifugae (sheng ma) and Radix Bupleuri (chai hu) should be added.
