English name:	Ephedra Decoction

Component:	Herba Ephedrae(ma huang), Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae(gui zhi), Semen Pruni Armeniacae(xing ren), Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis(gan cao), Herba Ephedrae(ma huang), Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae(gui zhi), Semen Pruni Armeniacae(xing ren), Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis(gan cao)

Function:	Releases exterior cold and alleviates wheezing.

Clinic Usage:	This formula treats externally contracted wind-cold characterized by fever and chills, dry skin, headache, and wheezing. Modern practitioners use it for severe cold-induced disorders.

Cautions:	Use with caution for patients with sweating symptom or for those prone to bleeding. Because of the adrenergic effects of Herba Ephedrae (ma huang), this formula should not be used under any circumstances in cases with hypertension.
