English name:	Liquid Styrax Pill

Component:	Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae(bai zhu), Radix Aristolochiae Qingmuxiang(qing mu xiang), Cornu Rhinoceri(xi jiao), Rhizoma Cyperi Rotundi(xiang fu), Cinnabaris(zhu sha), Fructus Terminaliae Chebulae(he li le), Lignum Santali Albi(tan xiang), Benzoinum(an xi xiang), Lignum Aquilariae(chen xiang), Secretio Moschus(she xiang), Flos Caryophylli(ding xiang), Fructus Piperis Longi(bi ba), Borneol(long nao xiang), Styrax Liquidis(xu he xiang), Gummi Olibanum(ru xiang)

Function:	Warms and aromatically opens the orifices, promotes the movement of qi and alleviates pain.

Clinic Usage:	This formula is commonly used in treating strokes, or acute disorders caused by fierce qi of epidemic. Symptoms include sudden collapse, loss of consciousness, clenched jaw or a sensation of cold in the chest and abdomen which may signal the impending sudden loss of consciousness or coma, or turbid phlegm which veils the sensory orifices and disturbs the spirit with sudden collapse and loss of consciousness.

Cautions:	This formula is contraindicated during pregnancy. Modern practitioners use it for cerebrovascular accident and angina pectoris, and it has proved to be very effective.
