Component: Rhizoma Atractylodis(cang zhu), Rhizoma Cyperi Rotundi(xiang fu), Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong(chuan xiong), Massa Fermentata(shen qu), Fructus Gardeniae Jasminoidis(zhi zi)
Function: Promotes the movement of qi and releases constraints.
Clinic Usage: This formula is used for constraint cases due to stagnant qi. Symptoms include focal distention and a stifling sensation in the chest, diaphragm and abdomen, belching, acid regurgitation, nausea, vomiting and indigestion.
Caution: This formula treats constraints of qi, blood, phlegm, fire, dampness and food stagnation, but with emphasis on promoting the movement of qi.
