English name:	Blood Expectoration Formula

Component:	Indigo Pulverata Levis(qing dai), Fructus Trichosanthis(gua lou ren), Pumice(hai shi), Fructus Gardeniae Jasminoidis(zhi zi), Fructus Terminaliae Chebulae(he zi)

Function:	Clears fire, transforms phlegm, preserves the lungs and relieves coughing.

Clinic Usage:	This formula treats coughing caused by liver fire scorching the lungs. Symptoms include expectoration of blood, irritability, severe chest and rib side pain, red cheeks, constipation, a red tongue with yellow coating and a wiry, rapid pulse.

Caution:	This formula is for symptoms caused by liver fire invading and scorching the lungs.
