Component: Fructus Pruni Mume(wu mei), Herba cum Radice Asari(xi xin), Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens(gan jiang), Rhizoma Coptidis(huang lian), Radix Angelicae Sinensis(dang gui), Radix Lateralis Aconiti Carmichaeli Praeparata(fu zi), Pericarpium Zanthoxyli Bungeani(chuan jiao), Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae(gui zhi), Radix Ginseng(ren shen), Cortex Phellodendri(huang bai)
Function: Warms the intestines and eradicates roundworms.
Clinic Usage: This formula treats collapse from roundworms. Symptoms include intermittent irritability and vomiting, vomiting of roundworms after eating, cold extremities, abdominal pain and chronic diarrhea or dysentery.
Caution: Modern practitioners often use the formula for treatment of ascariasis or roundworms in the bile duct.
