Component:	Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae(bai zhu), Rhizoma Alismatis Orientalis(ze xie), Sclerotium Polypori Umbellati(zhu ling), Sclerotium Poriae Cocos(fu ling), Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae(gui zhi), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae(bai zhu), Rhizoma Alismatis Orientalis(ze xie), Sclerotium Polypori Umbellati(zhu ling), Sclerotium Poriae Cocos(fu ling), Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae(gui zhi)

Function:	Warms the yang, promotes the transforming function of qi, promotes urination and drains dampness.

Clinic Usage:	This formula treats the yang-stage disorder in which the pathogenic influences have not been released from the exterior, but have penetrated to the internal organ, the bladder. Symptoms include headache, fever, irritability, thirst, immediate vomiting after drinking, difficulty urinating, a white-coated tongue, an uneven pulse, possible vomiting and diarrhea due to sudden turmoil disorder, symptoms of congested fluids, or vomiting frothy saliva, vertigo, shortness of breath and coughing. Modern practitioners use this formula for treatment of 1) acute and chronic nephritis, 2) harnretention (urinary retention), 3) serothorax, ascites, hydrocephalus internus, pericardial effusion, articular effusion, 4) acute gastroenteritis, 5) chronic ethyl alcoholism.

Caution:	This formula is for bloody urinary dysfunction caused by excessive heat only.
