Pin-yin:	da jian zhong tang

English name:	Major Middle-Construction Decoction

Component:	Pericarpium Zanthoxyli Bungeani(chuan jiao), Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens(gan jiang), Radix Ginseng(ren shen)

Function:	Warms and tones middle burner deficiency, directs negative qi downward and alleviates pain.

Clinic Usage:	This formula treats the condition of weakness and deficiency of the middle burner yang, and yin (cold) ascending in the interior. Symptoms include excruciating chest and abdominal pain, vomiting and inability to eat, a strong sensation of cold in the epigastrium, painful head and feet that are hypersensitive to touch, and a pale, white coated tongue.

Cautions:	This formula is recommended for symptoms caused by strong, excessive yin (cold).
