English name: Tangkuei Decoction for Frigid Extremities
Component: Radix Angelicae Sinensis(dang gui), Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae(gui zhi), Radix Paeoniae Lactiflorae(bai shao), Herba cum Radice Asari(xi xin), Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis(gan cao), Caulis Mutong(mu tong), Fructus Zizyphi Jujubae(da zao)
Function: Warms the channels, disperses cold, nourishes the blood and opens blocked blood vessels.
Clinic Usage: This formula is for simultaneous yang deficiency and blood deficiency, while patients contracted cold externally. Symptoms include cold hands and feet of lengthy duration, a pale tongue with white coating, a thin, frail pulse and pain in the lower back and legs.
