| Clinic Usage: |
This formula is for yang brightness organ-stage disorder, which is characterized by heat accumulating in the interior. Symptoms include severe constipation, focal distention and abdominal fullness, increased abdominal pain when pressed, tidal fevers, profuse sweating occurring on the palms and soles, a dry, yellow or dry, black tongue coating with prickly sensation, and a faint, excessive pulse. Modern practitioners use this formula for treatment of 1) constipation, 2) ileus, 3) acute pancreatitis, and 4) acute pneumonia. |
