Pin-yin:	da huang fu zi tang

English name:	Rhubarb and Prepared Aconite Decoction

Component:	Radix et Rhizoma Rhei(da huang), Radix Lateralis Aconiti Carmichaeli Praeparata(fu zi), Herba Asari cum Radice(xi xin), Fructus Gardeniae Jasminoidis(zhi zi)

Function:	Warms the interior, disperses cold, unblocks the bowels and alleviates pain.

Clinic Usage:	This formula is for cold accumulation in the interior. Symptoms include constipation, abdominal pain, pain in the rib side, fever, cold hands and feet, a white, greasy tongue coating and a rapid, wiry pulse.

Cautions:	This is one typical formula for warming and purgation. The fever treated by this formula is caused by internal yang qi obstruction.
