English name:	The Dispersing and Drilling Decoction

Component:	Rhizoma Alismatis Orientalis(ze xie), Semen Phaseoli Calcarati(chi xiao dou), Radix Phytolaccae(shang lu), Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii(qiang huo), Pericarpium Arecae Catechu(da fu pi), Semen Zanthoxyli Bungeani(jiao mu), Caulis Mutong(mu tong), Radix Gentianae Qinjiao(qing jiao), Semen Arecae Catechu(bing lang), Cortex Poriae Cocos(fu ling pi)

Function:	Purges the bowels, dispels congested fluids, disperses wind and drains heat.

Clinic Usage:	This formula opens up obstruction of congested fluids and dampness. Patients present symptoms of edema all over the body, wheezing, thirst, with difficult urination and defecation.

Cautions:	This formula should be used with extreme caution in weak or frail patients.
