English name:	Newly Augmented Yellow Dragon Decoction

Component:	Radix Rehmanniae Glutinosae(sheng di), Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis(gan cao), Radix Ginseng(ren shen), Radix et Rhizoma Rhei(da huang), Mirabilitum(mang xiao), Radix Scrophulariae Ningpoensis(xuan shen), Tuber Ophiopogonis Japonici(mai men dong), Rhizoma Coptidis(huang lian), Radix Angelicase Sinensis(dang gui), Stichopus Japonicus(hai shen), Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens(sheng jiang)

Function:	Enriches the yin, augments the qi, drains heat and purges the bowels.

Clinic Usage:	This formula is for heat accumulation in the interior with qi and yin deficiency characterized by constipation, a distended, hard abdomen, a feeling of fullness, fatigue, shortness of breath, dry mouth and throat, cracked lips, and a dry, yellow or black tongue coating with visible surface cracks.

Cautions:	This formula is a typical one for nourishing and purgative effects. It is usually used for seriously-ill patients.
