English name:	Vessel and Vehicle Pill

Component:	Semen Pharbitidis(qian niu zi), Radix Euphorbiae Kansui(gan sui), Radix Euphorbiae seu Knoxiae(jing da ji), Flos Daphnes Genkwa(yuan hua), Radix et Rhizoma Rhei(da huang), Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Viride(qing pi), Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae(chen pi), Radix Aucklandiae Lappae(mu xiang), Semen Arecae Catechu(bing lang), Calomelas(qing fen)

Function:	Promotes the movement of qi and drives out water accumulation.

Clinic Usage:	This formula is for water and heat accumulation in the interior which obstructs the qi movement. Symptoms include edema, ascites, thirst, labored breathing, a hard abdomen, constipation, and a distant but strong pulse.

Cautions:	This formula is primarily for ascites and edema. It contains some extremely toxic substances, therefore the dosage and duration of administration must be carefully regulated, and it should not be taken for an extended period.
