Gan Cao
For stomach or spleen deficiency, abdominal pain, loose stool, carbuncles, skin lesions, swollen, painful throat, consumptive lung disease, coughing, palpitations and epilepsy. It can also coordinate different properties of a prescription.

Ge Gen
For injury from cold and warm-febrile disease. For treatment of symptoms such as headache, stiff neck, irritable, thirst, diarrhea, dysenteric disorder, measles with incomplete presentation of rash, hypertension, angina pectoris and diminished hearing.

Gou Qi Zi
For thirst, dry throat, nocturnal emission, headache, blurred vision and consumptive disease.
|

|
Gu Sui Bu
This herb helps warm up and nourish. It may injure yin and strengthen fire. Contraindicated in cases of yin deficiency with strong fire signs or patients with constipation.
