Properties: Salty, neutral
Channels entered: Lung, kidney
Function: Nourishes lung, moistens kidney, tones essence, elevates yang, calms wheezing and alleviates coughing.
Major Clinic Usage: For internal injury due to overstrain, consumptive lung disease, blood expectoration, impotence, weakening due to long lasting illness, neurasthenia and frequent urination.
Cautions: Contraindicated in cases of wind cold or coughing, wheezing due to excessive heat.
Usage and Dosage: 3~6g. Generally in pill form or soaked in wine.
Storage: Keep tightly sealed in a wooden box. Mix with xanthoxylon seeds in storage. Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from worm infestation.
