Where grown: South and central China.
Source: Dried rhizome of Cibotium barometz (L.) J. Sm.
Ingredients: Starch
Properties: Bitter, sweet, warm
Channels entered: Liver, kidney
Function: Nourishes liver and kidney, strengthens lower back and knees, and dispels wind-dampness.
Major Clinic Usage: For arthritis, painful lower back, feeble legs, urinary incontinence, nocturnal emission and leukorrhea.
Cautions: The herb warms and nourishes internals. Contraindicated in cases of deficient kidney with heat signs, urinary difficulties or dark, scanty urination, or dry mouth with a bitter taste.
Usage and Dosage: 6~12g
Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid dampness.
