Properties: Sweet, salty, slightly cold
Channels entered: Liver, kidney, heart
Function: Nourishes heart and kidney, tones yin and promotes intelligence.
Major Clinic Usage: For blood and yin deficiency, hectic fever, weakness in the lower back and knees, chronic coughing, leukorrhea, vaginal discharge, chronic dysentery, and infantile metopium.
Cautions: Contraindicated in cases of cold deficiency in stomach and spleen. Use with caution during pregnancy.
Usage and Dosage: 10~30g used in decoctions.
Storage: Store in a dry place.
