1) Effect on cardiovascular system: the herbal extract can lower blood pressure of rabbits. The effect was caused by capillary expansion. 2) Effect on intestines: the herbal solution can contract small intestine of mice. 3) The herb solution can provoke estrus in female large white mice. |

For gastroptosis, prolapse of uterus, blood prostration due to qi deficiency, heavy or incessant blood discharge, and rectum prolapse. Use with Radix Ginseng(ren shen), (gan cao), Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong(chuan xiong), Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens(sheng jiang) for pox symptoms. Use with Radix Dioscoreae Oppositae(shan yao), Radix Trichosanthis Kirilowii(hua fen), Tuber Ophiopogonis Japonici(mai men dong), Radix Rehmanniae Glutinosae(sheng di huang), Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis(wu wei zi) for diabetes and heart strengthening. |
