English name:	Privet fruit

Where grown:	Central, south, and northwest China.

Source:	Dried, ripe fruit of Ligustrum lucidum AITON.

Properties:	Sweet, cool, bitter

Channels entered:	Liver, kidney

Function:	Nourishes liver and kidney, strengthens lower back and knees, darkens hairs and improves vision.

Major Clinic Usage:	For internal heat and yin deficiency, weakness in the lower back and knees, blurred vision, tinnitus, palpitation, constipation and premature gray hair.

Usage and Dosage:	6~12g

Storage:	Store in a dry place. Avoid mold and infestation by worms.
