For chronic coughing due to lung deficiency, irritability and fatigue due to deficient heat, dry throat and thirst. After a warm-febrile disease, to generate saliva, use with Radix Trichosanthis Kirilowii(tian hua fen), Herba Dendrobii(shi hu), Tuber Ophiopogonis Japonici(mai men dong) for best effect. |

| Cautions: |
Contraindicated in cases of coughing with phlegm due to wind-cold, loose stool due to cold in the middle burner, and cold-dampness in stomach. Do not use with Radix et Rhizoma Veratri(li lu). |
