| Pharmacological effect: |
1) Alleviate pain of distended chest and abdomen. It also helps to relax the smooth muscle of gastrointestinal system, gall bladder, and bronchi. 2) Improves the symptoms of distended chest, rib cage, or breasts caused by deficient liver yin. It also treats painful or irregular menstruation. 3) In animal experiments, it constrains heart and lowers blood pressure. |
