Where grown: In Zhejiang, Hunan, Anhui, Guangdong and Guangxi areas of China.

Ingredients: Linderalactone, lsolinderoxide, Linderene, Neolinderalactone, lsogermafurene, Laurolitsine, sesquiterpenes
Pharmacological effect: 1) Effect on gastrointestinal system: the herb has a dual effect on the smooth muscle of stomach and intestine. It may either stimulate or constrain movement of stomach and intestines. 2) Has an antiviral effect. 3) Stops bleeding: the herb helps to congeal blood.
Properties: Acrid, warm
Channels entered: Lung, spleen, kidney, bladder
Function: Promotes qi, alleviates pain, warms kidney and dispels cold.
Major Clinic Usage: For distended chest and abdomen caused by negative qi, food stagnation, nausea, regurgitation, vomiting, damp-cold hernia or beriberi, and frequent urination.
Cautions: Contraindicated in cases of qi deficiency and internal heat.
Usage and Dosage: 3~9g
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from worm infestation.
