English name:	Citron fruit

Where grown:	In south China.

Source:	The dried, ripe fruit of Citrus medica L.

Ingredients:	Volatile oil.

Properties:	Slightly bitter, acrid, sour, warm

Channels entered:	Liver, spleen, lung

Function:	Spreads, regulates liver qi, harmonizes the middle burner and transforms phlegm.

Major Clinic Usage:	For distended pain in chest and rib cage caused by stagnant liver qi. Symptoms include reduced appetite, vomiting, stomachache, coughing and copious sputum.

Usage and Dosage:	3~9g

Storage:	Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid dampness and infestation by worms.
