Source: The dried bulb of Allium macrostemon Bge. or Allium chinensis G. Don.
Ingredients: Alkaloid
Properties: Acrid, bitter, warm
Channels entered: Lung, stomach, large intestine
Function: Unblocks the yang qi, disperses obstruction, promotes the movement of qi and reduces stagnation.
Major Clinic Usage: For painful obstruction of the chest due to cold turbid phlegm stagnating in the chest and prevents the flow of the yang qi. Symptoms include wheezing, coughing, and a stifling sensation in the chest. It also treats the stagnant qi of the stomach, dysenteric disorder and tenesmus.
Cautions: Use with caution in cases of qi deficiency, weak stomach, or patients unable to adjust to its flavor.
Usage and Dosage: 5~9g
Storage: Store in a dry place. Protect from worm infestation.
