Where grown: North China.
Source: Dried whole plant of D. superbus L. or Dianthus chinensis L.
Ingredients: Dianthus Saponin A, B, C, Gypisogenic acid, �-Sitosterol, Orientin
Properties: Bitter, cold
Channels entered: Heart, small intestine
Function: Clears heat, promotes urination, expels blood stasis, treats amenorrhea and removes pathogenic heat from bladder.
Major Clinic Usage: For difficult urination, strangury due to heat, stranguria with blood, swelling, blurred vision, amenorrhea and abortion.
Cautions: Contraindicated in cases of qi deficiency in spleen and kidneys or during pregnancy.
Usage and Dosage: 9~15g
Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated place.
