Where grown:	North China.

Source:	Red ocher, a mineral containing ferric oxide.

Ingredients:	Ferric oxide, silicon, calcium, potassium

Properties:	Bitter, sweet, neutral

Channels entered:	Liver, heart, stomach

Function:	Effectively directs negative qi downward, calms liver, restrains yang, cools blood and stops bleeding.

Major Clinic Usage:	For regurgitation, belching, hiccough, blood expectoration, nosebleeds, bleeding hemorrhoids, palpitations, irritability, restlessness, and urinary difficulties.

Cautions:	Use with caution during pregnancy.

Usage and Dosage:	10~30g.
