Source: Dried horn of Saiga tatarica L.
Properties: Salty, cold
Channels entered: Liver, heart
Function: Calms liver, extinguishes wind, clears heat, arrests convulsions, removes blood stasis and relieves toxicity.
Major Clinic Usage: For impaired consciousness and convulsions due to warm-febrile disease, delirium, headache, dizziness, convulsions, red eyes and blurred vision.
Cautions: Contraindicated for patients without liver heat symptoms or symptoms not caused by the heat toxin of febrile disease.
Usage and Dosage: 1~3g if used in decoctions. Decoction should be cooked at least 2 hours. Use in juice or powders, 0.3~0.6g per dosage.
Storage: Store in a clean, dry place. Protect from worm infestation.
