ß-Sitosterol, Paeoniflorin, myoinositol, Oxypaeoniflorin, Paeoniflorigenone, Gallotannin |
| Pharmacological effect: |
1) Effect on the gastrointestinal system: the decoction stimulates peristalsis of stomach in rabbits. It also increases the tension and oscillating intensity of intestines. 2) An abdominal injection of the herbal extract on rabbits has the effect of reducing blood serum urea nitrogen. |
