English name:	Green chiretta

Where grown:	The subtropical zone.

Source:	Whole leaf of Androgrpahis paniculata Nees.
Ingredients:	Deoxyandrographolide, Andrographolide
Pharmacological effect:	Has anti-microbial, anti-viral properties and an inhibiting effect on smooth muscle.

Properties:	Bitter, cold

Channels entered:	Lung, large intestine, small intestine, stomach

Function:	Clears heat, relieves toxicity and dries dampness.

Major Clinic Usage:	For fever, headache, coughing due to heat in lungs, swollen, painful throat and diarrhea due to damp heat.
Cautions:	Contraindicated in cases of cold deficiency.

Usage and Dosage:	6~15g

Storage:	Store tightly sealed, in a cool, dry place. Avoid dampness and be wary of change of color.
