| Pharmacological effect: |
1) Effect on digestive system: perfusion of the herb decoction to rabbit's empty stomach showed inhibiting effect on stomach peristalsis initially, then switched to promoting opposite effect. Oral ingestion had no such effects. The herb extract can relax intestinal peristalsis and increase its vibration amplitude in mice. This effect is totally antagonistic to the function of histamine. It may be stimulated by the sympathetic nerve. 2) immunization effect: the herbal extract has an inhibiting effect on reaginic antibody. It also has a slight inhibiting effect on hemolytic plaque forming cell. |
