Where grown: Throughout China.
Source: Whole plant of Portulaca oleracea L.
Ingredients: Noradrenaline, Dopamine, Dopa, Galacturonic acid, ß-Amyrin, Lupeol
Properties: Sour, cold
Channels entered: Liver, large intestine
Function: Clears heat, relieves toxicity, dissipates blood stasis, reduces edema, is anti-inflammatory and performs as a diuretic.
Major Clinic Usage: For bleeding dysentery, gonorrhea, leukorrhea, infantile malnutrition with dysentery, erysipelas, carbuncles, malignant boils and scrofula.
Usage and Dosage: 9~15g. 30~60g if fresh herb is used. For external use, smash the herb then apply proper amount to wounds.
Storage: Store in a dry place. Avoid incurring mold.
