English name:	Carpesium fruit

Where grown:	Throughout China.

Source:	Dried fruit of Carpesium abrotanoides L.
Ingredients:	Tannin
Pharmacological effect:	Kills tapeworms and roundworms.

Properties:	Bitter, acrid, neutral, slightly toxic

Channels entered:	Stomach, spleen

Function:	Kills parasites.

Major Clinic Usage:	Exterminates parasites and treats taeniasis and ascariasis. Also treats malarial disorder.
Cautions:	Do not decoct this herb. It should be taken in pills or powders.

Usage and Dosage:	3~10g

Storage:	Store in a dry, well-ventilated place.
