English name:	Pomegranate husk

Where grown:	North India and throughout China.

Source:	Dried pericarp of Punica granatum L.

Ingredients:	Isppelletierine, Mannitol, Sorbitol

Properties:	Sour, astringent, warm

Channels entered:	Large intestine

Function:	Stops diarrhea, retains essence and can be used as a parasiticide.

Major Clinic Usage:	Expels tapeworms and roundworms. Used to treat diarrhea, dysentery and leukorrhea.

Cautions:	Contraindicated for exterior disorders.

Usage and Dosage:	3~9g

Storage:	Store in a dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from mold.
