Where grown: Northeast China and Hebei area.
Source: Dried tuber of Typhonium giganteum Engl.
Ingredients: Cyperene, Isopatchoulanone, Cyperotoundone, a-,ß-Rotunol
Properties: Acrid, warm, toxic
Channels entered: Stomach, liver
Function: Dispels wind-phlegm, calms convulsions, relieves toxicity, dissipates clumps and alleviates pain.
Major Clinic Usage: For wind-stroke due to phlegm obstruction, headache, migraine, arthritis, convulsions, wet, itchy skin, tetanus and partial paralysis of facial muscles.
Usage and Dosage: Generally use after processing, 3~6g per dosage. For external use, smash fresh herbs for decoction until thick or grind into powder, mix with wine and apply to wounds.
Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from worm infestation.
