Treats vomiting, regurgitation, wheezing, coughing with copious sputum, acute or chronic bronchitis, chronic gastritis, neurogenic vomiting, vomiting due to pregnancy, distended chest and diaphragm, cold extremities or unconsciousness due to profuse phlegm, headache, pain in the supra-orbital bone, dizziness and insomnia. It can also be used externally to reduce swellings. |

| Cautions: |
This herb has warm and dry properties. It is contraindicated in cases of dry heaves, bleeding troubles, or hot-phlegm symptoms. Do not use with aconite root type of herbs. Misuse may result in swellings, pain, loss of voice, dribbling, convulsions, difficulty in breathing, choking or even death. Diluted vinegar, strong tea or egg white may be used for a quick rescue. |
