Source: The ripe seed of Phytolacca acinosa Roxb.
Ingredients: Fatty oils
Pharmacological effect: The herb has diuretic and laxative effects.
Properties: Acrid, warm, toxic
Channels entered: Liver, kidney, large intestine
Function: Drives out congested water, reduce edema and expels blood stasis.
Major Clinic Usage: For edema, difficult urination and defecation, blood stasis, mass in the abdomen and amenorrhea. Use externally for ringworm and snake bites.
Cautions: Contraindicated during pregnancy and in cases of weak patients.
Usage and Dosage: 1~2g. Use in pills or powders.
Storage: Store in a tightly sealed, dry place. Protect from worm infestation.
