Ingredients: ß-Sitosterol, Paeoniflorin, myoinositol, Oxypaeoniflorin, Paeoniflorigenone, Gallotannin
Pharmacological effect: 1) Effect on the gastrointestinal system: the decoction stimulates peristalsis of stomach in rabbits. It also increases the tension and oscillator intensity of intestines. 2) An abdominal injection of the herb extract on rabbits has the effect of reducing blood serum urea nitrogen.
Properties: Bitter, neutral
Channels entered: Liver, stomach
Function: Nourishes yin, reduces stasis and stops bleeding.
Major Clinic Usage: For dysenteric disorder, blood stasis, nosebleeds, incessant bleeding, bleeding of the gums, childhood convulsion and burns.
